Sawtooth is a hostile Enemy machine in Horizon Zero Dawn that the players can confront to obtain Experience and Loot.  It can also be found in normal and corrupted variations, it doesn't have a daemonic one.

Sawtooth Description

• Sawtooths have a strong resemblance to the extinct Saber tooth Cats. Although their chassis look heavy, Sawtooths are incredibly agile and fast. Easily closing the distance within themselves and their prey.

Sawtooth Combat Information

• Behavior Info: Sawtooths patrol along other machines such as Watchers, and are extremely aggressive. Will attack any human on sight.
• Weakness: Fire
• Resistance: None

Sawtooth Attacks

• Berserker Fury: The Sawtooth does multiple lunging claw slashes dealing 300 damage.
• Claw Swipe: The Sawtooth does a single lunging claw slash, dealing 140 damage.
• Jaw Smash: A single swipe with the jaw. Deals 140 damage.
• Jumping Jaw Smash: A single swipe with jaw, after pouncing. Deals 180 damage.

Sawtooth Location

• Sawtooths are usually deployed singly or in groups of up to three to protect herds of machines such as Grazers and Lancehorns. The Sawtooth patrols around the herd, on a constant lookout against perceived threats.

Sawtooth Notes & Tips

• If significantly damaged, Sawtooths will begin limping, holding up one of their front paws.
• The hunting and killing of a Sawtooth was the final test given to the Nora huntress Aloy by her guardian Rost as part of her training for the Proving.
