What is the story behind Horizon Zero Dawn?
Horizon Zero Dawn takes place in a near future post-apocalyptic world, where machines have taken over Earth, and humanity is at the brink of extinction. Humans are no longer the masters of the world, and have to live in fear from the machines that roam the land. Humanity has been reduced to primitive and tribal living standards.
The story revolves around Aloy, who from birth has been branded as an Outcast. You follow her journey that revolves around finding the secrets of her origin, and also to uncover the secrets of the world...
Is there Character Customization?
The game only allows you to play with Aloy. The way to customize the character is finding through the game different equip pieces of attire to augment her defensive and offensive capabilities.
What about the weapons?
Weapons can be used to attack or trap an enemy creature, and can be given Upgrades provided they have an available slot. Selecting weapons and ammo happens on the fly, and the game enters slow-mo while doing so, which lets you change tactics in the heat of combat as well as engage in some split second crafting
Can vehicles be used in the game?
Some machines can be converted into Mounts that can be ridden by Aloy across the world. To do that Aloy need to use her Override ability to hack the machines.
