Improved Forgefire is a Close Range Weapon in Horizon Zero Dawn. Improved Forgefire has 70 handling and can use Firethrower  and Fire Burster ammo. This is a weapon exclusive to The Frozen Wilds DLC, not available in the base version of Horizon Zero Dawn.

 Improved Forgefire Description

• It fires a close ranged attack that deals medium Fire damage and high Fire severity on impact and leaves a burning area that deals low Fire damage and severity over time. Similar to a flamethrower.
• The Fire Burster ammo, allows the Improved Forgefire to shoot long range fireball-like projectiles.
• The Improved Forgefire can hold up to 60 Firethrower charges and 20 Fire Burster ammo.

  • Deals 75 elemental severity damage.

  • Deals 180  damage and 100  damage.

Where to Find Improved Forgefire

• • To obtain the Improved Forgefire you have to complete the Geared Up: Forgefire side quest. To complete this quest, you need to bring Varga a Bellowback Snout.
  • After completing the side quest, it can be bought from The Cut merchants. To purchase the Improved Forgefire you need:
    • x1600 Metal Shards
    • x1 Fireclaw Heart
  • The Improved Forgefire can be sold for:
    • x100 Metal Shards
